I'm wondering. Dvd audioextractor finds a 'Atmos' version on the DVD.
It is converted to MLP. So no atmos info there

How can a audio-dvd contain atmos?
Should it not be a Bluray, like the version that was released?
Some albums are released as 5.1 flac.
Why not release the atmos version as .thd files

Yes ok but, by recoding you removed the atmos layer.
Why rewrite to a format thats is not able to hold the content?

DVD-audio MLP can't hold more than 6 channels and 9.6 Mbit/s
The material comes from a source with up to 8 channels and a top layer and a bitrate of 18Mbit/s.
"Dolby's compression mechanism for TrueHD is Meridian Lossless Packing (MLP); prior to Dolby TrueHD, MLP was used for the DVD-Audio format, although the two formats' respective implementations of MLP are not mutually compatible."

I got a 11.1 setup so to me the top layer and extra channels are welkom.
so i recomment: Direct stream the atmos tracks to thd files.

But still:
thanx for the effort

What the best way to play this file. I would like to use foobar2000. I have unzipped an iso file which foobar does not want to play.

One of these components (I don't remember which) allows you to drag and drop an iso into foobar and play the tracks.

AC3 decoder
DTS decoder
fdk-aac packet decoder
SuperAudio CD Decoder

In foobar, go to Preferences | Components and click the Get More Components link at the bottom
